As you saw from my last Watch Me Wednesday, I am traveling. Right now I am in Connecticut and teaching. I had the pleasure of teaching at Christie's Quilting Boutique in Norwalk on Saturday and Sunday. I taught, Judy Niemeyer's Feathered Star. This group of ladies were just fantastic.

I know that I have been remiss in making my blog posts, but please forgive me.... I have been away. I was away in Jacksonville, Florida teaching. My travel isn't over yet, I go to Connecticut this Friday to teach at the shoreline. Then home for a few days, then off to Quilt Market and FESTIVAL too!

Since I last wrote about my Butterfly Garden Quilt, it was at the circle stage. Now it has an two inner borders and I am working on the outer border! It is looking fantastic. I really love this quilt.

Would you like to make a Pop Up? What, you don't know what a Pop Up is??? I know you will want to make one because they are these "spring like" baskets that squash down and travel anywhere. You can use them to catch threads, hold a soda can... anything! They make great gifts too!

Looking back over the past week, I finally got to sit down at my sewing machine for a little sewing time! Not sure why it is, but I sometimes get distracted with non-sewing quilting things... does that every happen to you? Any way, I am working on the Butterfly Garden Quilt by Judy Niemeyer. The pattern is available here. As many of you know, I a Judy maniac, which is why I became one of her Certified Instructors all those years ago.

This summer has been super busy for me. But this past week I was able to sneak out to Vegas for 3 days!! Woohoo! We don't gamble, but we love to see a good show. We saw Rod Stewart for the 6th time. It never gets old!
