Hello Everyone,
As you saw from my last Watch Me Wednesday, I am traveling. Right now I am in Connecticut and teaching. I had the pleasure of teaching at Christie's Quilting Boutique in Norwalk on Saturday and Sunday. I taught, Judy Niemeyer's Feathered Star. This group of ladies were just fantastic.
Some had never paper pieced before and it took them a little bit, but they definitely caught on. I call that the "light bulb" moment. One of the many reasons that I love to teach. I love seeing people really beginning to love a process!
Another reason I love to teach is to see through the eyes of another quilter. What I mean is that I love to see how they interpret the design. Of course much of that is through color and fabric, and each and everyone is so unique. They are always a delight to see transform from pattern to quilt top.
Taking progress photos is always top on my list, so I love to walk around the classroom and take pics of what they are working and where they are at in the process. For each and every class I make an album showing their progress in class and then ask them all to send me pics of their quilts when finished. Then I add those to the albums too.
My hope that is by posting pics here for you to see that you also get as inspired as I do! Color, design, and so much more can inspire us as quilters and this is just a little bit to whet your appetite!
Enjoy!
Until Next Time...
