Hello Everyone,

27 years ago today, I married the best man ever!  It is absolutely the best decision I ever made in my life.  He grounds me, supports me, makes me laugh, is a great father, loves my family and ME, and is pretty easy on the eyes too.

Hello Everyone,

One of the best parts of Quilt Market is getting to see the show quilts before Quilt Festival begins.  There are approximately 1700 quilts on display and all are simply amazing!!  I am going to share just a few of the quilts here... I took a ton of pics and created an album on Facebook.

Hello Everyone,

Attending Quilt Market is always a fun experience. (Warning!!! Picture heavy post!!!) Not only do we get to see new products and designs being introduced into the industry, but we meet up with friends and colleagues that we haven't seen in a while.  All while doing this we are in AWE of all the great things that are being shown at market.

Hello Everyone,

After introducing you to my quilts, I am super excited to give you a little video tour of what my booth looked like at market!  I had fun with my hubs setting it up. During market many people came by and seemed to really like the quilts and fabric.

Let me take you on a tour...

Hello Everyone,

Schoolhouse is always a super exciting part of Quilt Market.  It is when we go from room to room and learn about new products, quilt designs... and so much more from the creators!  It is also when we run into people that we may not have seen for over a year or so!  Kind of like a homecoming!  It is lots of fun. This year prior to my schoolhouse, I was able to attend a few and had a great time doing so.  The first one that I attended was my friend Sharyn Cole's Schoolhouse from The Tuffet Source.

Hello Everyone,

On Thursday October 27, and we quickly got to work!  The hubs came with me again because I was launching my first fabric line and patterns with Island Batik.  After a quick lunch we headed over to the convention center, picked up our badges.  We went onto the market floor and found Island Batik first.  We checked out the layout of the booth so that on Friday we could hang up my quilts after I presented them at schoolhouse.

Hello Everyone,

I have been super busy getting ready for Fall Quilt Market and the launch of my new fabric line and I am already working on my new spring line.  But amongst all the hub bub of deadlines, I picked up a quilting book and saw a great scrap quilt!  I had this overwhelming feeling of "I HAVE to make this NOW" kind of thing.  Have you ever felt this before??? I have but actually never acted on it.... honestly!

Hello Everyone,

As you know, I have been settling into my new home and still working on setting up my studio, just a little bit left to do.  Two things that needed to be done were the design wall and the thread racks. This past weekend my hubby and I got them done!  I couldn't say that I am more pleased than ever!

Hello Everyone,

All year I had been waiting to attend the retreat at Judy Niemeyer's training center in Kalispell, Montana.  This month all Certified Instructors (CI)  were heading back there to re-certify and to learn the newest Technique of the Month (TOM), the Vintage Rose.  Oh what fun I had... 5 straight days of sewing, demos, business meetings, friends, food, fun and so much more!!!

Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, over the past few months we have been busy with our move to Arizona.  My hubby and I are finally settled back into some type of normalcy at this point, so I am attempting to get back into the groove and begin blogging again.

First I want to thank all of you who have been sending me e-mails, commenting on FacebookInstagram and wishing me well.  I have basically been doing quick daily posts on Social Media to keep everyone up to date. I appreciate you all following me there as it definitely has been an easy way for me to communicate via my iPhone vs sitting down (which I really haven't had time to do) with the computer.

Hello Everyone,

As I near the big move this week, I have been pondering lots of things.  One of them being that I really feel like I haven't sewn or created a thing in the past week or so.  It feels like something is missing... emptiness.  Grant it, I have plenty to keep me busy with the move and it is definitely beginning to stress me out somewhat.

Hello Everyone,

Boy how time is flying!!! We have just a mere 12 days until we make our way to our new home in AZ!  We are so excited, but there is so much yet to do!  One of the things, and I have probably told you before, that has me mostly stressed out is flying our kitties out on the plane.  After reaching out to many of you on Facebook, there were tons of great suggestions.

Hello Everyone,

As you know I am moving to Arizona in just a few short weeks, and if you have never seen a cactus, there are quite a bit in Arizona.  We actually have a beautiful Saguaro in our new backyard.  Currently it is in bloom too!  My dad took this photo for it.  However, you really can't see the blooms on it as it was a slightly overcast morning there.
