Hello Everyone,
I have been slowly plugging away at my Vintage Rose Technique of the Month Quilt. I am almost to the finish line and am excited to show you some of my progress. I must say that I LOVE working with these great colors and the white background. It just makes the colors POP!
I have been meticulously piecing all the parts together. There are lots of curves and I love curves. If you have never put a curve together, I have a great tutorial just click here to check it out.
After I got the curves together, I loved playing a little and just arranging the pieces in fun ways. Do you ever do that? It can totally make a new design.
How fun is it to play? I love it! But this pattern from Judy Niemeyer is just the best Technique of the Month yet. I am making mine into the queen size and it will be my teaching sample. You can get the Queen Size pattern here and the wall size pattern here.
I got so much together... the wall size is now together and I will be adding the queen borders over the next few days... swags and tassels.
I love how the center all comes together! Perfect! This pattern is full of registration marks so that everything goes together just perfect!!!
Here is what my full Queen Size will look like... I mocked it up in Quiltster with the exact fabrics that I was going to use and it is a PERFECT rendering. What do you think? I love being able to mock up Judy's patterns in Quiltster. And then seeing it come to "life" while you are sewing the pieces together are so gratifying!
