Hello Everyone,

It has been a little while since I wrote this blog post about my scrappy quilt and bet that some of you are wondering where I am at on that quilt?  Well, I have definitely made a ton of progress.  But what I had originally set out to do by making a block a day didn't transpire as my teaching schedule had called for me to be out of town quite a bit.

It is hard to create blocks when you are away from your sewing machine... right?  Any whooo... I persevered and when I returned from teaching I made MORE than a block a day!  This has truly been a labor of love for me and you will see why.

It all started when I purchased this book and saw the pattern.  It is simple, yet so great to use your scraps.  AND all the rectangles are the same size... so it makes it easy to have them cut and then you can just lay out the blocks and sew.  That is what I did.

And the quilt kept growing on my design wall.  I loved watching it grow.  There were some days that I made two blocks and some where I made twelve!  So it grew and grew, bringing a big smile to my face every time I saw a new block go up on the design wall.

(sorry for the rotation on this pic.... can't correct it for some reason)

Then Christmas came and I didn't have it all complete, but the top was just about there. So I was able to "gift it" to my son and his girlfriend.  Although the blocks aren't joined and there are a few more things that I need to do to get it complete, they loved it!  I gave them a few design options and wait until you see what they picked.  It may be just a little while until I get back to it as I have some deadline work to get to before that.

So what do you think?  I am in love with it... doesn't it make you want to begin your own??

Oh... one last thing... did you enter my giveaway here?? If you haven't check it out!!!

Until Next Time...
