Hello Everyone,

I have been super busy getting ready for Fall Quilt Market and the launch of my new fabric line and I am already working on my new spring line.  But amongst all the hub bub of deadlines, I picked up a quilting book and saw a great scrap quilt!  I had this overwhelming feeling of "I HAVE to make this NOW" kind of thing.  Have you ever felt this before??? I have but actually never acted on it.... honestly!

But this time I did.  This pattern is just so appealing to me and boy to I have scraps to make it! This is a pattern from The Big Book of Scrappy Quilts from Martingale/That Patchwork Place ! The pattern is called Scrappy Rectangles by Jo Parott.  I think everyone who has scraps should make this one!!!

I have committed to myself to make one a day for everyday that I am home.  I am thinking that in just a few short months I will have a very large quilt!  So far, I am really enjoying what it looks like.  Because, as you know, I have a very huge stash of black and white and brights, that means that I have a huge amount of scraps of the same.

What do you think?  Three days, three blocks and I am in love with the blocks thus far!  The rectangles are 2" x 3 1/2" cut.  I love mixing them up!  I think you all should challenge yourselves to go through your scraps and do something similar.... come on... you know you want to!  😉

Until Next Time...
