Hello Everyone,

Over a week ago, I taught a great group of ladies to paper piece the Judy Niemeyer way.  The class was the Witches Brew Bed Runner.  Some of the things that I like the most about teaching this method of paper piecing is the organization, and design of the patterns.  They are soooo well thought out, that all the math is taken out for us.

One of the other things that I sooooo enjoy is seeing all the students versions and colors that they have chosen.  But what I LOVE the MOST is when my students exclaim that they love this method!  Yup... LOVE!

Here are some of the photos from the class with the Apple Valley Quilters.

Hello Everyone,

OMG!! I can't believe that it has been 7 days since I blogged.  I have let time get away from me.  But I have been busy, busy with a top secret project.  I know you will love it when I can do the BIG reveal.  We just have to wait.

So since it is Wednesday, I thought I would show you photos from last week's Wind It Up Wednesday.  We had a great day, there is always a buzz in the studio.

Hello Everyone,

If you follow me here on my blog, Facebook, Instagram, or anywhere else you know that I have cats and LOVE my kitties.  Often times they assist me in my sewing endeavors and keep me company in more ways than one.  I wanted to share with you some of the photos that I love of them.   Here are my boys...

Hello Everyone,

On my third day of teaching, I taught a great beginner paper piecing class, Stepping Stones.  This Judy Niemeyer pattern is great for a beginner because there are no curves and you can use pre-cut 2.5 inch strips.  We all have those, right?? The students in the class had some great color combos and really caught onto the technique!!

Hello Everyone, Since Wednesday I have been in Vermont teaching at Vermont Quilt Festival.  I have been having a great time and have met some wonderful people!  But I have some photos to show you from Sunday.... so I am playing catch up. As many of you know, Monday was my birthday, but I invited my quilting buddies to my studio on Sunday for a little sew in!  We had pizza, cookies and pie!  And I gave each of my friends some quilty giveaways!!  It was so much fun. But what surprised me the most was that, my friends, surprised...

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday was the last day of teaching at a Quiltworx retreat.  I had a great time with these ladies and they were extremely productive!  Although everyone was making something different it was so nice to watch them grow and evolve each day.  One of our favorite things to do beside eat and sew is to hang quilts over the balcony on a nice day and take photos.  I have a few to share as well as the progress on the walls.

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday, I arrived in Montana to teach with Judy Niemeyer at her retreat center.  But I must say, I left 80 degree and Sunny weather for  44 degrees and TONS of rain!  You got to know I love her and teaching right?  Because if you know me, I really am not a fan of the cold weather... So right now I am in paper piecing heaven!  Yup, that is right, there is such a thing!!  Let's take a peek at what happened yesterday.

Hello Everyone,

Yup, that is right they all have "wedgies".  We wrapped up the final class for the Technique of The Month, Mariner's Compass on Saturday and each student walked out with at least one "wedgie" or one almost together.  What I mean by "wedgie" is they have one of eight slices of a pie done.  You know when you slice into a pie, you get a wedge slice, right? That is what my students have, let's take a look...

My apologies about blogging!  I have been soooo busy with some really, really important things that blogging has gone astray.  So I thought I would do just a whee bit of catch up.  Last Wednesday, we had an open sew at the studio and I want to share a few things that the gals did.

My friend Alyssa of Pile O' Fabric and I collaborated once again!! I asked her to pick out fabrics to create a bundle to giveaway.  She did something a little different this time... She played with the fabrics that she picked in her own pattern, that we carry!!!  You will see in the images below.

From last Thursday through Sunday, I was AWOL, well sort of.... I spent the long weekend with 17 of my closest quilting buddies on the first annual CVQW retreat!!  We had a fantastic time and produced tons.  It was a lot of work getting ready for it and implementing  the retreat but soooo totally worth it.
