Friday was a great day at Road To California. I taught one of my most favorite quilts that I have designed.... my Island Breeze Quilt. I remember when I designed this quilt and Island Batik loved the design and asked if I would use their fabrics. Woohoo! Then it ended up on the cover of Quilt Magazine. It was a thrill for me!
It is still a thrill for me to pass this along to other quilters by teaching how to make this sweet gem. I really enjoy seeing other quilter's take on my design.
Not only that, I love teaching the technique for the flying geese and quarter square blocks. There are so many ways to make these blocks and I adore teaching them to my students.
I get to teach this quilt again in April on a cruise too! Do you want to make this quilt too??... join me on the cruise... details here. But in the meantime here are a few pics of my class from Road To California to whet your whistle.
Now I bet you can't wait to make the quilt.... right?? Find the pattern here in either an instant PDF download OR printed pattern.

Until Next Time...
