Hello Everyone,
On Saturday, I taught my Island Breeze class at A Quilter's Oasis in Mesa and boy did these ladies do a wonderful job! One of the things that I love most about teaching is seeing all the colors that my student's pick out. It excites me to see my designs come to life from a different perspective.
These ladies delivered! Just take a look at some of the color combinations. They have fantastic colors for the geese and the hourglass blocks not to mention the backgrounds. Mostly everyone used batiks too.
The cool thing about batiks is that they are timeless. The colors and the designs stay fresh in your stash for years and never become dated. Many of the ladies chose their fabrics straight from their stashes... speaks to the beauty of the batiks.
One of the best parts of teaching is the end of the class. That is when I get to see the progress that everyone made and we get a great group picture too. Just take a look at their creations!
Fabulous right? They really did a fabulous job and I can wait to see them all complete! If you would like to see all the pics from the day, just click here as I have an album of the day on FB. The pattern is available here.
