Hello Everyone,
This post has been a long time coming! At Fall Quilt Market, I met the fantastic Tonya Alexander and I wanted to chat a little bit about her and her book. We both launched our first books at Quilt Market and had a ton of fun doing so. So let's meet Tonya and her book!

Tony gave me a signed copy of her beautiful book Stash Lab, which I read cover to cover on my flight home. Let me tell you, if you have a stash you are going to love the projects in this book. The projects are fun, contemporary, AND the best part is you can use up your fabrics.
Let me take you on a little tour of some of my favorite quilts in the book.
Kaffe's Garden at Night is probably my most favorite. I think for most of you who know me know why. LOVE the bold colors on the black background and of course LOVE Kaffe Fassett. After all what is a quilt without Kaffe.
Loose Change is another favorite. Tonya's take on a coin quilt is fabulous. I love making strip sets and sub-cutting them, but then the twist of putting some vertical and some horizontal takes it to a whole other level! LOVE!
OMG!! What is not to love about Car Pool??? This quilt is the epitome of scrappiness. I LOVE it!! So now with all those little scraps that you have you can make a fantastic and awe inspiring quilt!
Last but not least....
The BIG Spin! One of my favorite quilt blocks is the pinwheel and I love Tonya's take on it. By using lights and darks with great thought and care, she created a quilt with great visual impact. And the way she used different size pinwheels in the quilt makes it even more appealing.
Well, this was just a little tour of her book, but there is so much more to see and make. She gives her own great tips and techniques as well. This is a must have for any quilter's bookcase.
