Hello Everyone,

Yup, that is right, today I turn 50.  So what exactly does that mean?  For most people it has some either positive or negative meaning.  In my mind it symbolizes moving onto another wonderful chapter in my life.  For those of you who know me, you know that I am a happy and optimistic person... in general.  That said, I have been reflecting over the past decade and the events in my life and how these events have changed who I am today.  Also, what I have learned about myself.

So I would like to take you through a brief pictorial story of some of the events that have transpired and my views on them.

I have had the pleasure of watching my two children grow from teenagers to adults.  Those faces are faces that make me smile everyday!  I am happy to be their mother and look forward to seeing some of the best chapters in their lives ahead.

My daughter has grown into a beautiful young woman and will be graduating college next year!  She is a smart cookie too... She will have a degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering.

She is also very happy too with a wonderful boyfriend!  Makes my heart smile to see that beautiful smile.

I have had some good laughs with my son.  He wanted me to teach him to sew!  Maybe someday he really will!

He graduated with honors from college and is now living on his own and has a beautiful girlfriend. Very proud!

We love visiting with him it makes our hearts sing!

Over the years of traveling and teaching, I have met some fabulous people!  All are wonderful and not only have I taught them, but they have also taught me.

My friends are absolutely the best!  I have managed to surround myself with the most talented, giving, thoughtful, loving, and caring group of friends.  I can't begin to express how lucky I feel every single day to be surrounded by these people.  Absolutely, wonderful!!!

They are fun and quirky too!

The talent is amazing!

And we know how to have fun too!

I literally am blessed to have friends all over the world!

I am looking forward to spending many more wonderful moments with all my friends.  They truly ROCK!

I have two of the best nephews and one beautiful niece!  And I am excited to see them grow up to be young adults like my children!

I have the best parents ever and am so glad that I get to spend whatever time I can with them.

I have been lucky enough to travel to one of the most beautiful places, I think, on earth... twice.  Machu Picchu is a place to behold.

I worked hard and wrote a book... due out in October, 2015!

I have flown many places with my husband.

And I am learning to fly his plane too... although I have many more things to learn yet... lots more time....

I am BLESSED beyond belief to have married a man who is caring, compassionate, supportive, loving, and.... oh yea... and quite easy on my eyes!  I love this man with all my heart and I could not imagine going through my life... 50s and beyond without him by my side.

He has taught me so much about so many things, but also how to look at myself and see life in a different way.

How can I forget my boys... A.K.A. the quilt inspectors.... I just love them to pieces!

In short, if my 50s are nearly as good as my 40s, I am looking forward to enjoying every single day! Also, I have learned not to take anything for granted and to alway see the positive in things.

I thank all of you for being part of my life and enriching it in more ways than I can possibly list in one blog post... So 50s, here I come!!! Watch out!!!
