Hello Everyone,
Two days ago, I purchased a new toy... well not really a toy, but a new sewing machine! I LOVE my Viking Sewing machines and in fact I have 3. Don't judge me as I know that some of you out there may have a few more than that.... right?? Anyway, I purchased a fourth one. But I did sell one of the original three to make room for the fourth. I must say I am smitten with my new purchase and so is another member of the household.
He has already found his "pillow". Basically he has been sleeping behind my new machine all day. If you are wondering what I purchased, it is a Viking Sapphire 960Q. It is basically the same machine that I had before (Designer SE purchased circa 2005) but without the embroidery unit. I determined I just didn't use the embroidery so I sold it.
Here is my new beauty! I love it. Used it all day today and it sews like a dream. So many features that other machines don't have until you reach a really high price point. This is much more affordable and you get those features for less. For instance, the Exclusive Sensor Foot, it adjusts the pressure based on what you are feeding through, two lights (one over the needle and one over the throat), totally hands free sewing ( all you need is to sew, press on the peddle and the foot goes down, take your foot off the peddle and the foot comes up... no knee lift needed, easy peasy). Those are just a few of the features that I like.
Now for what my kitty likes. The machine is big enough for him to lay down behind and small enough for Mama to cart around. Make a great head rest too!
Gotta love the hexagon screen saver in oranges and blue right? Very cool! I am going to get lots of great years of use out of this machine. Very excited! AND....
I think I am going to be seeing lots of this going on behind my machine too!
