Hello Everyone,
Yesterday, I spent the day with four of my quilting friends at the studio. We spent the day sewing the raffle quilt for the Flights and Fantasies Quilt Show 2015 together. It was a great day to sew as it was pretty cold and snowing.
Lisa came dressed warmly with these beautiful socks that she made. Her feet surely stayed toasty warm for the day. But don't you just love the yarn she used. My kind of colors.
Then we got to work on the quilt. We had put up the middle, but then had to take it down to sew it together. The swags were all that was left as we had to continue to piece the outer units too. But we were very diligent and kept working. We were able to get almost the whole top pieced!
Here is the stage that we got it to yesterday. The middle is all sewn and the swags and outer units are sewn. Now the swag units need to be sewn tot the middle and it will be complete!! We know it is on the wall a little off kilter, but when we started to place it up on the wall we really had no idea where the top or bottom would fall.
All the fabric was GENEROUSLY donated by Timeless Treasures Fabrics!
You will be able to get tickets for this very soon! But if you would like to see it and many other gorgeous quilts in person, come to the show this fall! Here are the details, mark your calendars!!
