Hello Everyone,
As most of you know, we in Connecticut were snowed in on Tuesday. So I spent a good portion of the day sewing to complete my Paradise in Blooms. I joined the center medallion and then yesterday, I made the borders and attached them. I am sure you want to see the completed quilt, right?
One of the first things that I had to do was complete the corners. This meant that I had to do the appliqué on the borders.
As I did before, I prepared the appliqué, using the Stitch and Peel (found here).
Then put them on the the border pieces and stitched them down.
Once I had that all complete I had to attached the borders to the center medallion. Boy, did I have a difficult time! My helpers arrived and it got a bit crowded in the sewing area. However, I did manage to get it done....
Voila!!! It is done and I love it!!! And then after looking at this photo, I realized I made a mistake. I inserted a background fabric where the basket fabric should be! UGH! So I stayed up later last night and ripped two out and replaced them. I will do the other two in the morning and have a better picture of the whole quilt then. But here is how the new basket looks...
Much better, don't you think?
Do you want to make your own? You can buy the pattern and/or kit by clicking here. Also take a peek at where I am teaching this class, by clicking here.
So what do you think? Do you like it??
Until Next Time...
