Hello Everyone,
Right now I am getting excited, I have not only finished the baskets, but I am now piecing the top together! First, I must piece the units together in small groupings then have the prepared appliqué ready to place on the small groupings. Then the whole quilt can be sewn together!! EEEEK!! Almost there, let's take a peek...
Here the baskets are almost complete...
One basket unit done! Three more to go and...
They are done! I was playing a little bit. Don't you think they look cool in a quadrant like this? You never know what you will find lurking in one of your patterns. Play a little and see what you come up with, it could be fun!
Here are the baskets in the corners of the quilt. They look a whee bit naked there, but that is because the appliqué is not on yet. That is coming. I just need to get the units all pieced first then I am going to machine appliqué all the stems and petals on the quilt.
Now, in the above photo, I am actually joining the sections together. These three are all sewn as one piece!!
By the end of yesterday, all the center sections are now sewn together and I am working on the outer dahlia sections now. Tomorrow, I will be working at hyper speed so I hope to have much more completed. Stay tuned!!
