Hello Everyone,
This is a special post!! My friend Michele Muska wrote this beautiful book, Quilting the New Classics that is currently available!!  The book is not only beautiful but there are 20 projects in the book.  Both traditional and modern versions, which makes it ultra cool!
This is the gorgeous cover.... hmmmm... I spy a quilt that looks like mine! Why it is!  Michele asked a bunch of designers including myself to create a quilt for the book.  I was delighted to do so, thank you Michele!!
This is the back of the book... it gives you just a little sneak peek of some of the quilts inside.  See the traditional versus modern?  Double Wedding Ring at the top, Dresden Plate in the middle and Log Cabin at the bottom, a very cool idea right??  So no matter what you gravitate towards there is something for you in this book!
This is my design.  Michele asked me to do a traditional flying geese quilt and what came to mind immediately was 1930s fabrics with a traditional setting.  You can see I signed the copy above.  Michele had us all sign copies of the books that were being given away at Quilt Market last week.  That was very fun to do!
There you go... that is definitely me!!
Megan Frock was asked to do the modern version of flying geese.  Here is a little sneak peek of hers.
Here are some of the gals that were included in the book.  They are all signing copies of the book just before the book signing in the Modern Quilts Unlimited booth at Quilt Market.  Michele is the pretty lady standing on the far left.
A stack of the books waiting to be placed in the hands of eager quilters.
This week, is the blog hop and some of the blogs will be giving away copies of the book!  I have provided below a listing of all the blogs participating.  So please go visit and enter to win the book.  If you don't win, then hop on over to Amazon or to your local shop and pick up a copy... it won't disappoint you!
