Hello Everyone,
Well Thursday was invigorating and tiring all at the same time. It started off with going to the Island Batik Booth to drop off some things for booth set up and for my schoolhouse later in the day. Lugged the suitcase from the hotel to the convention center....
Then I attended a few schoolhouse sessions myself. First it was, of course, Judy and Judel Niemeyer's Quiltworx session. Loved seeing the new quilts in person. Always fun! Here is a little sneak peek. They will be available right here on my site in the coming months, so stay tuned.
Then it was off to see what the talented Elizabeth Hartman had up her sleeve for new designs and fabric. As always... adorable!!! I just love her animal quilts...
Then off for a quick lunch and back to grab my stuff for schoolhouse. I had 15 minutes to present my patterns and fabric... for those of you who know me know I am a talker. So putting all my thoughts into 15 minutes is a challenge!
But I think everything was well received! Yay!!! Then I stayed on for my fellow "booth buddy's" presentation. Tammy Silvers from Tamarinis presented her collection and had some beautiful quilts to show too.
Then it was back down to the show floor to set up and decorate the booth. Well we did a lot of talking, then work, then talking, then work, then.... you get the picture. But in the end... Whew, the result was worth it. Now to show it to those who were not able to attend my schoolhouse. Cross your fingers that the patterns and fabric is well received.
