Hello Everyone,

When you finish a quilt do you ever get that feeling of okay... this one is done? A very underwhelming feeling, not a quilt that you are particularly happy with but just happy you are done.  Well, in this case, I am jumping up and down with excitement!!!!! I am in love with this quilt.

When I first went to the Certified Instructor Training session for this quilt in September, 2016, I had this color version all mocked up in Quiltster (an app for all Judy Niemeyer quilts).  I purchased all the fabrics and couldn't wait to dig in.  Getting to Montana and receiving all the papers and direction from Judy, myself and the other Certified Instructors began.  Here is the jpeg of the Quiltster mock up.  And if I must say, it looks pretty darn much like the actual quilt!

All the different versions have been wonderful to see.  But I couldn't wait to finish mine, especially since I would be teaching it in 2017.  I was able to finish the quilt top before the first class that I was teaching in April, but had yet to quilt it.

Because I was unable to get it onto my own longarm, my friend Margaret Solomon Gunn agreed to quilt it for me.  With all the white space in this quilt, with it's very modern look, I knew it needed a beautiful custom quilting job.  And a GORGEOUS custom quilting job is what she gave me.  She did a blog post about how she did the quilting too.  Find it here.

I received it back on Thursday and this past weekend, I applied the binding and hanging sleeve all in a day!  I was anxious to get it done and really couldn't wait to see it finished.  So I sat myself down and turned on Netflix and hand stitched the binding and sleeve down. Woohoo!  It was complete!

Then I took it outside for a photo shoot.  I placed it over the fence and fell in love all over again.  Did I say I LOVE this quilt?!?!  What do you think?  Possibly one of my most favorite Judy Niemeyer quilts that I have completed.  This one is the Queen size and deserves that type of love from me... LOL!

I also love teaching this class too.  I have a new session of this coming up in Arizona!  If you live here or are in the area, come take this class with me at A Quilter's Oasis.  Check it out here, would love to have you in my class!  Pattern is available here.

Oh... one last thing before I leave you with all these pics to look at... Don't forget to watch me on Watch Me Wednesday (July 19) for a Giveaway this week!  Don't know about Watch Me Wednesday, find out more about it here.

Until Next Time...
