Hello Everyone,
This weekend was a fun one for me! For those of you who are in the Northeast, like I am, we have been having unusually warm weather. We actually were able to squeeze quite a bit into this weekend and I am slightly exhausted.
On Saturday, I was able to eek in a sewing day at home with my good friend Lisa. While we were sewing, our significant others were busy hiking, geocaching, and selling some of our worldly goods on Craigs List for our impending move next year.
Since I wasn't with them and only with Lisa, I wanted to share a few pics of our sewing day.
We started off with Lisa happily pressing her fabric. Yes, of course we were working with brights... we love them!
Here is my range of colors. These are all batiks that I chose, but I am pairing them up with some prints.
I love my little scrap pile. What is it about the scrap pile anyway? I don't know, but I love them!!!
Lisa is modeling her sash.... Hmmmm...
Lisa's scrap pile... Just lovely!!!
Oh wait, she has added to her sashing... of course a Tiara! The Queen has officially arrived!
That was Saturday and I had fun!!! I think that Lisa did too. Then on Sunday...
The hubs and I took our plane out for a little jaunt to Cape Cod... Chatham. Well, that is what we intended, but as we were flying the visibility became pretty poor and decided to divert to Block Island where the visibility was much better.
The hubs was hungry and wanted to eat! Block Island has a small little restaurant right at the airport so we were able to get a nice bite to eat and get some flying in too.
Look when we are flying, I where my cowgirl boots!!!
We arrived home safely then we went for a nice long walk... about 5 miles. I then got a little more sewing in too!
All in all it was a great weekend! Today, we will be filling lots of orders that came in over the weekend from the BIG MOVING SALE that we are having... If you didn't know about it, you can read it about it here.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too! What did you do? I would love to hear all about it!
Until Next Time...
