Hello Everyone,
This past weekend I had the opportunity to have some FUN play time with my friend Lisa! We decided to work on the same project, yes and the same fabrics too! I must say that I haven't had a "free" sew day in quite some time... no urgent deadlines was kind of nice.
I went over to Lisa's and we were able to sew side by side! Yes, we are paper piecing.... what a surprise. We had decided to piece the Quiltworx pattern One, available here.
I have all my pieces all stacked and ready to go onto the foundation piece then sew until my heart is content.
One side of the leaf is complete and I am loving it so far.
Two sides done and it is now laying on the background. I just have to apply the bias edges to the leaf to finish it off for machine appliqué to the background. Lisa's looked just like mine.
If you are wondering, we didn't pick these fabrics. We were inspired by my friend Lori Allison's selections for this pattern and just put them together from the shop. We still have two of the fabrics available. The red Spiral Shells are here and the Aboriginal Dot Gold is here.
This was ALL done in ONE day! A fantastic weekend project!!!
