Hello Everyone,
My hubby and I love getting out and getting exercise together. We love to hike and walk! This summer we have been very fortunate to have some spectacular weather, so we have been taking advantage of it when we can! Almost everyday we have been walking somewhere.
Typically, we will walk either 3, 4, 6 or 8 miles.... sometimes 10! If we are hiking, you never know how long it will be. So I wanted to share with you some of the beautiful things we saw on our Saturday 8 mile walk.
This is the trail that we walked on today! The road less traveled, so to speak. The town just finished repaving it this year. It used to be an old railway bed. Beautiful to walk on as it runs right along the river. Very serene!
We see wonderful flowers and foliage along the way. I love yellow!
Today we saw two of these birds. I am pretty sure they were loons. Every time we walk there we see something different. Last Sunday we saw and Eaglet.
My favorite color in a flower. Doesn't get better than that!
These were everywhere, but gorgeous! A friend of mine said they are an invasive plant.
Pokeberry was everywhere too, but well eaten. You can see some missing here. I just love the purply pink color.

So after our walk today, we went just a little in the other direction and had this...
We shared! It was delicious. Let me tell you this is so not the norm for me at all, but every once in a while it is okay... right?
But I did have a bun-less burger. See I WAS being good!
The hubs had this burger... not as good as I was being....LOL!
So that is a little peek into our 8 mile walk. Always something new to see and it just never grows old. Such beauty and serenity all in one place!
