Hello Everyone,

As of recently, I have had so much going on, I don't know where to begin.  Anyway, I have SOOOOOOO much to share with you, I am not sure what to share first.  I still have Peru pics to show, Glacier Star Class pics, new things in the shop, AND highlights from the Flights and Fantasies Quilt Show.  See what I mean by backtracking and Flip Flopping??

I think I will begin with the Glacier Star Class pics and slowly whittle my way through the others.  I hope that this is okay with all of you??  Here goes...

I have been teaching Glacier Star in NJ at Pennington Quilt Works.  Let me tell you these ladies are fantastic!  I am impressed with how they are approaching their colors and they are picking up the technique really quickly too!

When beginning the Glacier Star Class, I always have the students place their fabrics on the swatch page for reference throughout the process.  Since they are doing a different technique throughout the process, you really want to make sure that they colors are in the correct places in the correct units.  This is a great organizational tool for any quilting process.

Here is another swatch page that has all the colors on one page for easy reference.  I like having it on this page (for the entire pattern) and the other one for the break down of each unit.

A stack of beautiful Kaffe Fassett fabric for a great quilt.

Linda did a little coloring to decide what colors that she was going to use.  She is doing the queen borders too, so this helped her immensely.

Here are some Kaffe units going together, don't they look beautiful?? I love them!

Gorgeous fall like colors to complete these.  This is shaping up nicely.

Ahhhh.... now that is more like it!  We have a completed NY Beauty done.  This method of curved piecing is the best.  I do it for any curved piecing and it is a snap!

Beautiful circling geese. I love the bright, bright colors!!

Finished NY beauties!

A very happy quilter with a completed geese!

Now that is what I am talking about.  The geese are where they need to be as well as the location of the NY beauties... well approximately.  This is going to be gorgeous.

The next class is on October 11 and we should see lots coming together then!  I am looking forward to this class.  If you want to see all the photos that I took (admittedly, I was a little photo crazy) just click here.

Until Next Time...
