Hello Everyone,
From last Thursday through Sunday, I was AWOL, well sort of.... I spent the long weekend with 17 of my closest quilting buddies on the first annual CVQW retreat!! We had a fantastic time and produced tons. It was a lot of work getting ready for it and implementing the retreat but soooo totally worth it.
One of the first pictures that was taken was not by me, as you can see above. My friend Laura, snapped this when I fell asleep on my cutting mat. I didn't sleep much the night before.... my mind was racing, and I was soooo tired, just put my head down and off I went into sleepy land.
But there were many more fun things going on than my sleeping. Like...
a little wine tasting...
Some tire swinging...
Visiting with our resident peacock "Mr. Pickles", who wanted to come into our room and see what we were doing. I think he knew there were quite a few females around.
The resident cat who did manage to get in, but was quickly asked to leave due to allergies.
Oh and we can't forget the resident rooster. He really wanted to come in, but I just wouldn't allow it.
Wait, I did say this was a quilting retreat didn't I???? I haven't shared one photo of quilting. Let's see...
Here are the happy retreaters!
Joan was working on this beauty.
I was playing with Deb's pieces.
Pam was working on the Captain's Wheel.
Sally was working on Light Into Darkness.
Darlene was working on this beautiful appliqué.
Erica was also working on this great appliqué.
But there was soooooo much more that was happening at the retreat! You need to check out ALL the photos. They can be found by clicking here. We had so much fun and can't wait to for our second annual retreat in the fall!!!
Until Next Time...
