Hello Everyone,
When I first "met" Stephanie Dunphy via the blogosphere, I knew she was something special. She was destined for great things and I told her so. Although I have never met Stephanie in person, I hope to one day. Until then, I would like to tell you a little bit about her most recent and awesome accomplishment.
She is now an author! Her book is called Uncommonly Corduroy and is filled with TONS of great projects. There are quilts, totes, bags and lots of whimsy.
The main premise of her book is making projects with corduroy. But if you don't have corduroy or don't want to use it, these projects can be made with regular quilting cotton or whatever fabric that you choose!!
I just love this photo of the corduroy's on the fence!!! Like I said, a lot of whimsy!
Here is the book. I adore the quilt on the cover. Very appropriate, very Stephanie! But this is very indicative of all the other great projects in this book.
This quilt, Scooter Bug, I actually had the privilege of quilting for Stephanie... when I was still quilting for customers. Fun to do and so many options of this quilt. See my name there... Thanks, Stephanie!
Here is another quilt that I quilted for her. This one was designed with the help of Stephanie's daughter. The pattern is very traditional, but it is all about the placement of the colors. I really enjoyed quilting this one for her and love the results.
You can see me in the acknowledgements here. I am among some very wonderful, talented and creative individuals. I am truly humbled and thankful to Stephanie for my inclusion.
Here she is... very talented and very sweet. Oh, I did say that I met her through blogging right? Well, Stephanie blogs about a ton of wonderful things and one of them is...
Her very sweet dog Abby! I just love her... look at that face.
If you don't know Stephanie, you need too. You can begin following her at her blog by clicking here.
But you also need to go get her book!!! You can find it here on Amazon or ask for it at your local quilt shop!
Either way... you need to pop over to say hello to Stephanie! Enjoy her book!
Until Next Time...
