Hello Everyone,

So you are probably wondering what I mean by a Baby Bag, right? Well read on and you will discover what I mean.

So in November, 2009 my newest little nephew was born to my brother and sister in law. I have not yet met him, only in pictures, as they live too far away. They live in Beijing, China. However, this year they are returning home to stay so I will get to meet the cutie in person. I am very excited!!

Anyway, I wanted to send them a little something that they could use in the meantime. Now most of you know me as primarily a quilter. But on occasion, I have been known to make a bag or two. So I decided to make them this wonderful bag. It is the Urban Diaper Bag by Izzy and Ivy designs.

I used, of course, Kaffe fabrics! This is the front of the bag. It comes complete with a little pouch for the pacifier. See it dangling there.

This is the back side with a nice big pocket accented with that wonderful polka dot fabric.

Each side has a handy little pocket for a bottle, cell phone, toy or just whatever suits your fancy.

A view from the inside shows a nice zippered pocket, three more pockets on the other side that have easy access, and a diaper changing mat!

The changing mat folds into thirds and fits nicely in the bag. This is definitely an essential for anyone with a newborn.

So you can see the practical use for this bag, now onto the other use...

After I was done with the bag, I sent it on its long journey to China. And yes, it made it there!

Meet my new nephew! Cute isn't he?? He apparently took the name of this bag literally and put his diaper right on in it! But wow, what a great way to make sure your baby is always with you at all times!

He wanted to model the bag nicely for me too and just give a few of those "awwwww" pictures. He sure gives the bag a beauty boost! Cute isn't he?? Wait I said that already, I guess I am a little biased.

Boy, this one is a serious shot, but just look at those cheeks!! You just have to love them. The bag looks pretty good too.

I guess he decided it was time to use the bag as a foot warmer! Another great use! He is definitely thinking on his feet... LOL!

So if you have a new little one or know someone who is going to have a new little one you can find the pattern for the bag here. You will also find some other great bag patterns as well. I hope you enjoyed this little post. I know I did, I just can't wait to meet that little one!

Until Next Time...
