Hello Everyone,
Last week, my blogging friend Wanda of Exuberant Color, featured some mini quilts that she was making on her blog. First let me begin by saying I have been following Wanda's blog since I can remember, probably since I started blogging in 2007. Wanda has been a true inspiration to me and her creativity and love of color just keep me coming back for more. Thank you, Wanda! I look forward to many more years of following you!

Anyway, back to the mini quilts... As soon as I laid eyes on them I was in love. She had sold one, so I quickly e-mailed her and asked if she was willing to sell another.
The answer was yes and I was quick to reply and pay for the mini quilt that I desired.
Wanda created it from her batik scraps. Many of you know how much I love batiks, so these were just calling to me.
This is the result. It is about as big as a page of paper and is truly gorgeous.
Full of color and as vibrant as can be, don't you think?
Wanda recently had an exhibition in Charlotte. If you follow her blog or not, she has some fabulous photos of the exhibit and all her quilts are just gorgeous. If I could have, I would have loved to have seen it in person. You can also click here to see all the quilts in the exhibit.
Another blogging friend, Vicki of Field Trips in Fiber, did get to see the exhibit and meet Wanda in person... lucky girl!!
So, I thought you might like to see where I have hung Wanda's quilt...
My son helped me hang it next to a mini quilt that I purchased from my friend Frances Holliday Alford, and my cover quilt! My friend Justine framed the cover of the recent edition of Quilt Magazine, that featured my quilt on the cover, and gave it to me as a birthday gift. Thank you, Justine!
This wall is right at the entrance to my studio, so I get to walk by it many times during the day. They bring a smile to my face. Wanda, your mini was a great addition.
