Hello Everyone
Yesterday was the first day of a two day workshop that I am teaching. This workshop is a Judy Niemeyer paper piecing workshop on the 4th of July pattern. It can be found in my shop here.
I wanted to share some photos from the day. It was a good day filled with tons of learning, laughing, and creativity... not to mention a room filled with absolutely lovely people!
First up...
This quilt is a close up of Judy Niemeyer's actual quilt. I have with me a trunk show that I am showing my students throughout the weekend. They are a combination of my quilts and Judy's quilts
Here is the classroom filled with great students hard at work.
Carolyn is carefully cutting her foundation papers.
One of my students, Sara, brought in a 4th of July quilt that her mom had made!! I am so glad that she did... it is a glorious version.
Some of Linda's "S" units.
A very happy Pat showing off an "S" Unit.
My 4th of July quilt.
I was tickled that Carol came all the way from NH to take my class. She has been an avid listener of my podcasts from Day 1!! Thank you for coming, Carol!!
Sara and Linda have some synchronized cutting going on here.
This is a combo of Sara and Linda's blocks. They are both speedy and have joined some of the "A" units to the "S" units.
Here are Pat's units joined together.
This shows Sara's quilt next to Judy's quilt. All I can do is smile.
Deb is also very pleased with the "S" and "A" unit joined together.
Carolyn's perseverance has paid off!
This is my quilt and that is what everyone will be continuing to build tomorrow. They are busily working on the "B" units, then onto "JKM", "KM", and H.
Let's go girls... you can do it!! Stay tuned for more beauties tomorrow! I am having such a good time and enjoying teaching this class to these ladies. They are a joy to have and I thank them all for coming!
But I must say, I blushed and laughed all at the same time, when I walked up to the building today and saw this...
I guess I hit the big time! Thanks, Carolyn and Sue... you always make me feel at home! Love you guys!!
