Hello Everyone,
In between my travels, I have been working on another paper piecing project, a design from Judy Niemeyer. I have been having fun with this one and will be teaching it to a guild in Maine in a week and a half. It is actually a pretty quick project to make up as it is a table runner. My first photo is a sneak peek.... But stay with me until the end of the post and you will see the whole thing!
Here is a close up of the Compass Rose Block and the flying geese. I used all batiks as shown in the pattern. Funny, because these colors are not my colors, but I do like how the finished runner came out.
I began paper yesterday by paper piecing the geese. The compass rose units were already pieced. Those photos I had shared on Instagram and Facebook.
The flying geese went together just beautifully! Fast and easy.
Then the sashing was cut and I began to join the units together. All the units were very easy to piece together.
Here is the middle all pieced. I love how it all turned out.
Here is the completed table runner. I do like it even though I am not particularly a blue person. Someday when it is no longer a teaching sample, I will gift this to someone!!
