Hello Everyone,
Do you love One Block Wonder Quilts?? I really do and hosted and took a class in my studio from my friend Sally Murray, who taught us all to make these beautiful quilts! That was back in 2014 and you can read about it here. But here is mine...
Anyway, because I love this technique so much I signed up for a class on Craftsy called Quilted Kaleidoscopes taught by Marilyn Foreman. Boy, was I ever pleased!!! I would like to review this class for you and if you sign up, you can be entered to win $1,000 for your favorite craft focused charity like... Project Linus and Quilts of Valor.
Like the One Block Wonder you can make Kaleidoscope blocks, but instead they are made from squares instead of triangles. You can create beautiful quilts like this one.
Start out with big print fabric or fabric with a great repeat and then....
Follow Marilyn's instructions for layering and cutting the squares to form cool new kaleidoscope designs.
Then she shows you other ways to make kaleidoscopes with the Twister tool too! Great new way to get a new design! If you have print fabric in your stash that you are not sure how you want to cut up... this could be the class for you!
Meet Marilyn... she will teach you the ins and outs of fabric repeats, how to cut your fabric, and how to lay then all out for a fabulous quilt! Super easy and I just can't wait to get to working on one myself!!!
Stay tuned because you will have the opportunity to enter to win 1 free class later this week for my newest launch!! YAY!
Until Next Time...
