Hello Everyone,

It has been a week since my Craftsy class has launched and I thought you might all like a look "behind" the scenes.  Becoming a Craftsy instructor has been such a fabulous experience for me as a quilter, and many of you may wonder what and how the tapings happen.  I would love to share that all with you!

Hello Everyone,

Many of you know that I have a ton of quilt tops to quilt.  If you have been to my trunk shows you will know!  I guess that comes with the territory... after quilting quilts for customers from 2000-2012, your own pile starts to add up!  I have made it my mission to quilt them little by little.  After all it is not a quilt until it is quilted right?

Hello Everyone,

Joining the units into the blocks has commenced and I am loving the results.  A little more curved piecing needs to happen, but not much more.

Hello Everyone,

Now that I have many of the curves sewn, I am now joining some of the units with more curves... LOL! But once these curves are done, they become traditional square blocks!! Yay!!  Then I can piece the entire quilt together in a traditional way.  Let's take a look at what I accomplished yesterday.

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday was a day for corners.  I sewed the corners onto the B arcs!  This actually doesn't take too long, but after you must trim down.  My hopes is that by the end of the week I will have all the units joined and a top complete.... we'll see.

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday, I go a bunch of curves sewn on the Bali Bed Runner.  I hope you all like the progress photos?  Some of you have told me they are very helpful to all who are making this pattern or the Bali Wedding Star Quilt.  Today, I will be working on more curves.  Well, it could be that this whole quilt has curves in it...

If you are afraid of piecing a curve, watch the video tutorial on curves that I did by clicking here.  This is the technique I am using on this quilt.  Quick and easy!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I spent a good portion of it working on my second Bali Bed Runner!!!  I have some cool photos that I took that I wanted to share.  Making this bed runner requires you to make the arcs, the melons, and the center units.  Once all the units are done then you begin the curved piecing assembly.

Hello Everyone,

It has been a little bit since I blogged, I have been busy teaching and doing trunk shows.  This weekend I spent 3 days with some wonderful ladies at the Strong House Inn in Vergennes, VT.  This is where I go to teach a yearly retreat on Judy Niemeyer techniques.  Some of the ladies worked on the same things, others worked on different things.  I would like to share with you some of the highlights.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been remiss in blogging lately.  I have been super duper busy!  That is definitely a good thing! So I am going to start with yesterday and then go backwards on my next blog post to last week.  I know reverse order isn't always the best, but it is what I have for now.

Yesterday, I spent the day with a fun group of ladies in Mt. Vernon, NY, the Pelham Quilters.  I taught the Total Eclipse Class.  This classic Judy Niemeyer pattern is one of my favorite to teach.  It is a beginner paper piecing class and can be taught in one day.  The ladies had a great time and made some terrific progress.
