Remember a few weeks back when I was quilting A Touch of Spring? You can read about it by clicking here. I couldn't talk about it then, but it was a gift. For a very special person in my life, my Mom!
Last week we spent 5 days together as a family celebrating her 80th birthday. Although her actual birthday is not until September, she really wanted to have the celebration in the summer when her grandchildren were home from school.
Anyway, during the time we spent last week, I gave her the quilt!
Here it is all quilted and being gifted to my Mom. She loved it! I actually finished the binding in the car on the way down to see her. Have you ever done that, bound a quilt in the car? I have done it many times.
I love this pic as you can see my Dad checking it out and making sure it is all good... I believe it got a thumbs up!
A kiss for Mom! Wishing her many more years of happiness. We had a fantastic time as a family.
Here we are... my brothers and their children, me and the hubs with our daughter, my parents, the only one missing was my son. He just began a new job in another state and did not have vacation time. We missed him!
It was great fun and I love a big crazy family!
Until Next Time...
