Hello Everyone,As promised, I want to give you a wonderful glimpse into our trip to Peru! Our trip was fantastic! We had a great group of 6 people total! They were terrific. But what really made it great was our tour guide Rosa...simply stated, she was FANTASTIC! We not only visited Machu Picchu, but we spent a lot of time in the Sacred Valley...Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Urubamba, just to mention a few towns. Although there were really no fabric stores, Peru is very rich in colorful textile weavings. In the pictures you will see some of them.First a warning this may...

Hello Everyone!!Boy am I filled with lots of wonderful vacation news and pictures. Although I had gotten home about 3 weeks ago from Alaska, I just arrived home from PERU!! I didn't think that any vacation could rival Alaska, but Peru did. But I digress, first we must talk about Alaska and save Peru for my next posting. So since I was away from home so much this summer, you guessed it not much quilting got done. However, while in Alaska, I did stop at some quilt shops. Oh yes, one cannot go to another state or country without looking for...

Hello Everyone,Welcome to the weekend!! I have been busy again. Yesterday in between working on customer quilts, I made this quick and easy bag.I love it and am already using it. I made it from this magazine. This is the pattern. But instead of using dish towels, I used some stash fabric!! The funky multi-colored fabric is from Ikea. I bought it last year, I paired it with this Kona Fuschia fabric (my fave!!). So I had to modify the directions somewhat. I think the results are terrific! I used 2 funky buttons from Prints Charming...love them!!Now for my naughty kitty Rolo....

Hi Everyone,It has been a little while and I have been busy. Mostly busy working on customer quilts, which you can see the newest ones loaded on my website under recent additions. But, I have also been doing things for myself. I first found myself in a rut and wanting to sew but not doing anything about it.So I decided that I really wanted to watch my Red Sox play, which is a nightly occurrence anyway. But, I thought that I would do some stitcheries. I have been working on my seed packet stitcheries and really enjoying the outcome. The...

What movie???They explained that there were filmmakers in town through mid June making a film called Mistletoe. It will be on the Hallmark channel between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hi Everyone,I wanted to show you some fun shoes that I picked up while I was in AZ. I found them at Shoeteria. They do have a website, but I could not find the shoes on the website. You could probably call the store or try Zappo's. Anyway, they are so fun and they have been pretty comfortable to wear. My daughter wears Converse and I always thought they would be uncomfortable, but they are not. Without further ado, here they are:Also, I wanted to share with you the little bag that Cheryl from Polka Dots and Ric Rac sent...

As many of you have pets at home that inspect your work, well so do I. They also frequently help me. This particular day both my cats Rolo and Beanie decided to help me work on a stitchery. Rolo loves to cuddle up with me on my lap, he just doesn't realize that he is 20 lbs and takes up quite a bit of room. Beanie on the other hand is 1/2 of his size and sits nicely at my feet. Pardon the really pink slippers, remember I have cold feet here in New England. Here are pictures of that...
