Hello Everyone,Remember my last post on this quilt, if not click here. I can say that I have been working away, little by little at paper piecing the border for my Judy Niemeyer quilt. All I can say is, I am in love with it!! Disclaimer: Sorry about the poor photo quality, it was night time when I took the photos and the lighting wasn't as good in my studio then.So here are the beginnings of the borders. There are left and right sides, so I had to make sure that I was placing them properly. This is definitely a...

Hello Everyone,One thing that I have learned about myself over time is that some things never change. A while ago my mother had found some of my old art work, from when I was a child, that she had kept. She brought them to me and I had put them away in the closet. Yesterday, I rediscovered them and thought it would be neat to share. This first one was done when I was about 9 years old. You can see I loved color then like I do now. Very abstract, but would make a nice quilt, wouldn't it? It even...

Hello Everyone,I bet you can't believe that I have NEVER been involved in a Bee! Yeah, me too! So when my friend Andrea invited me to join the Two's Company Bee, inspired by the Red And White Quilt Show that was in NYC in March, I jumped at the chance. After all who wouldn't want a red and white quilt? So first up was Tara's block! She sent everyone their own fat quarter of red fabric and we needed to add the white. My red piece was plaid. I really liked how it turned out too.It was a paper pieced block and...

Hello Everyone,Thank you everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes! You all put a BIG smile on my face! But now... don't ask me why my little Pavi just loves our kitchen sink.He is quite the silly fellow. When he hears us doing dishes he runs into the kitchen to see if he can assist. Unfortunately, when cooking or cleaning he cannot get what he wants... to sit in the sink. But when the sink is all clean, up he jumps. Typically, he will want us to run the water, but only a trickle. Pavi will drink and play with the water.I...

Hello Everyone,Today is our second meeting of the Mod Conn Quilt Guild. At our first meeting, a challenge was issued. We needed to use just green fabric and create a 12.5 inch unfinished block. We had to interpret what green means to us. We will bring our blocks to the meeting and then we will discuss a layout for them into one quilt!Fun!So I started out with this, using my scraps but wasn't quite happy at how it was turning out. It just wasn't what I envisioned.I started again. I decided to paper piece my idea. I drew up the...
