Booth Set Up

Prep Work

Hello Everyone,Part of the Things with Wings quilt show is Vendors!!! Friendly Faces

Opening Day

Hello Everyone,It was opening day of the Things With Wings show and it was quite a thrill for me.  We have some spectacular quilts in the show, including the one above.  This one just WOW"ed" me!  I think I may have to replicate this one in black and white fabrics.The WWII Quilts are hung right near the B-29.  Impressive quilts and plane.Lots of great light to show off the quilts and tons of room to move around and see the planes and quilts.Local CBS Channel 3 News came and did a little segment on the 5:30 news! Hello Everyone,Yesterday was a fabulous yet exhausting day!  We hung ALL the quilts for the "Things With Wings" quilt show at the New England Air Museum.  I had an absolutely fabulous group of volunteers.  I cannot thank everyone enough for helping me make this show a possibility!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!  That is my son helping too!Evie and Justine checking in quilts and assigning them to their locations.Making sure that the quilt is hanging well.  Don't you just love the planes in the background?Diane and Nora hanging some of the BIG quilts.Dottie and her husband... absolutely...

Hello Everyone,I have been missing from blogland and the computer, pretty much all week.  I haven't been visiting all my favorite blogs and catching up on what everyone is doing because I have been soooooo... busy!!The quilt show that I have been coordinating for the past 9 months is almost here!  Yes, it feels like I am giving birth to a baby of sorts.  This is the first time I have ever done this and I am soooo excited.The quilts are all here!  They were delivered to my house and to the New England Air Museum (NEAM) all week long!!...

BIG News!!

Hello Everyone, I have some BIG news and am super excited to share it with you!  A few months ago, I approached the New England Air Museum (NEAM) with the idea of hosting a Quilt Show at their facility.  They did not hesitate and said, YES!We have had several meetings to firm things up and now we have dates, lecturers, and volunteers!  I am tickled to be heading this up and am looking forward to a more than fabulous Quilt Show!I also created this button, which you can grab from my right sidebar and place on your blog to help spread the word....

What A Show It Was!

Karen's Quilt

Hello Everyone,I just had to do it!! I had to showcase my friend Karen's Quilt. She did a fabulous job piecing this and selecting the fabrics. Many of the fabrics are Kaffe, but she has others in there too. She really has a great eye for color.She asked me to custom quilt this for her as it is a gift for her daughter. She used the BOM pattern from the Quilt Show, their first one, and adapted it slightly.It is a medallion style quilt with this gorgeous feathered star in the middle. This of course required some special quilting treatment.Pinwheels...

AQS Review and Loot

Good Morning,Since my last posting, I was able to complete the binding on BOTH quilts you saw!! Yay!! So now I have 2 down in both Eileen's and Peg's Challenges.
