Hello Everyone,
I thought today's post would be coming to you from Quilt Market, but alas, life happens and I had to cancel my plans on attending market at the last hour. Yes, I am sad that I am not there, but I will be at Fall Market.
In the meantime, I am trying to make the best of the situation and thought that a little sewing time was in order. So, I made triangles using purple and blue batiks!
I would say that this is a great use of my time. They are fun to make and have tons of possibilities too.
I used the Tri-Recs tool and just love it! This tool has been indispensable to me in the past and is again now.
Here is one possibility, a star. You can change out the center square and really change the look.
The triangles can become rooftops for funky houses. I really like this option. How fun would that be to make a little village of all different houses?
Diamonds without cutting them on the 60 degree angle!
Stacking the triangles for another look. Much like flying geese, but with a twist. There are so many more options, my head is spinning thinking of them.
Have any of you used the Tri-Recs tool? If so, what did you make and how did you like using this tool?
If you haven't stopped by Quilt Magazine to read my newest blog post on color, please do!! I would love to hear what your thoughts are on the subject. All the responses so far are very intriguing on the subject. Keep them coming. Just click here to read.
Until Next Time...
