Hello Everyone,
Yesterday wrapped up my week long tour of teaching in Arizona! I must say that I had a blast!!! The last class was the Arizona Cactus taught at Quiltz in Phoenix. This group of ladies was a wonderful bunch and really fun. Plus they got so much done too. Let's take a peek...
Many of my students take the line drawings from the patterns and create a mock up of what they envision their quilts to look like. I love this vibrant red version with the blue center. The possibilities are endless on this quilt as to the many different color schemes that you can have.
Just look at the differences in these blocks... the colors say it all! Very different by just altering and changing the colors for certain elements.
Pam finished 4 blocks! This is such a bright and cheerful version. I can't wait to see the rest of this quilt.
Here are two more very different versions of this block. Scroll back and look at the first few and see how different these look. Totally different, right? But beauties all by themselves.
Jennifer, one of the owners of Quiltz, also took the class. She created perhaps the brightest, boldest version. This is my style for sure! I love it.
Here we are... the entire class happy and ready to finish their quilts! And there I am... happy me!
Although, now I have to head home to the snow after a picture perfect week in Arizona. I miss my hubby and the cats, but I am going to miss this weather and all the wonderful people I met. As you are reading this, I am probably flying somewhere over the midwest on my way home to snowy CT. But I will be back to AZ in 3 weeks!! Yay!!
