Hello Everyone,

One of the things that always amazes me is cotton.  Since I was a little girl and when I had first found out where cotton came from, I was alway astonished that it grew in fields on a plant!  I mean really, this fantastic fiber that we utilize in so many ways, clothing, home dec, not to mention... quilts!

So while on my Thanksgiving Holiday in Arizona, we took walks everyday and we pass fields and fields of cotton.

For those of you who have never seen how cotton grows, this is the plant above.

This is one of the fields.  You can kind of see, I am holding some cotton in my hand.  It is being shadowed by my husband taking the photo.

Here is an up close photo and slightly blurry, of the cotton on the plant.

Here is another field.  Isn't it amazing that this plant will get harvested to make what we quilter's hold so dear to our hearts, FABRIC.  Oh and of course we get those basic hygiene products too...  Q-Tips, cotton balls, tissues, etc.  Can't live without those!

But as a quilter we are always looking for just that right fabric and boy do we have something for you!

On Monday, December 1, 2014, we have a Cyber Monday that you will LOVE!!! All Kaffe Fassett Collective and Batik Fabrics will be marked down by 25% per yard!!!  Best part is you don't need a code either!  But make sure you go onto the site on Monday to get the discounted prices!

Click here for all things Kaffe.

I hope you look at cotton in a different way now.  It really is fascinating, don't you think?

Until Next Time....
