Hello Everyone,
Whew... we had a very busy and FUN Quilt Market last week and I wanted to give you a glimpse into what we did for the time we were there.  We had lots of fun and saw LOTS of great product that we are bringing back to you!!!
Upon our arrival, we checked in and then headed over to the convention center and were greeted by these angel wings. We could not resist posing for a few photos.  This was mine.  See what happens, Houston turns us into Quilty Angels.
Then we were up bright and early the next morning to help Judy Niemeyer and team Timeless Treasures to get 1,000 goodie bags ready to hand out to the crowd during schoolhouse!  This was so much fun, but boy was I pooped.
Judy Niemeyer asked her Certified Shops and Certified Instructors to help out in bringing the quilts around so the crowd could get a closer look.  One of my friends snapped this pic of me in my apron, made by my friend Kelly Grant... another CI.  Boy, being tired really makes you ham it up!
Then we went off to the various Schoolhouse sessions and one that I went to was Elizabeth Hartman's of Oh Franson.  We carry her patterns and will be carrying her book Patchwork City!  This quilt is from this book.  Can't wait to get them in stock!
Of course, we went to Judy's Schoolhouse. This quilt is called Prismatic Star, and guess what?  We will have it available as a kit in the New Year!!!
Here is a quilt from Deb Tucker's schoolhouse.  It is made with her Rapid Fire Hunter's Star Ruler!  Did you know we carry that ruler and also her patterns?? Click here for the rulers and click here for the patterns.
And we did take some time out to have a little fun and to eat.  My buddies, Pam, Lisa, and Caroline forgot to send the "teal" memo out to the rest of us....
See what I mean, Deb, myself, and Carrie don't coordinate at all.  But we had fun!
Now that we are fortified, we were ready for Sample Spree!!!  What fun we had too!!
I also had fun with a mini book signing.... yup... you can read more about that by clicking here.
How about a little eye candy on the Quilt Market floor.  Giant lollipops!!
While we were walking around, I couldn't resist this photo op.  Look my favorite fabrics to work with and the line was called "Jackie".... how appropriate is that??
This is always a thrill for me.  This man is Harvey Kaufman of Robert Kaufman fabrics.  He is just always so nice and down to earth every time I see him!
In the Kona booth, I had to Test my Kona IQ.  See the right side of the board.... that is mine!  I got 25 out of 30 correct.  That was one of the best of the day!!!
My friend Sue Michaels in her beautiful booth.  Great patterns and wonderful people.
The Tuckers, Deb and Jeff in their booth.  Always a pleasure to see them!!
A little sneak peek at part of Judy's booth aka, the Timeless Treasures booth.  It was fantastic with all their quilts made from their new fabric collection, The Reclaimed West.  Which, by the way, we have!  We haven't put it up on the site yet as we will be kitting the Prairie Star in these fabrics first.
This is the Prairie Star.  Isn't it just fabulous!  This is the color way we will be kitting.
Oh, and see the quilt on the right.  This will be a NEW Block of the Month that we will have in Dear Stella Fabrics.  It is a great pattern from Sassafras Lane. So stay tuned for this lovely in the shop!
My friend and fellow Certified Instructor, Cat Wilson in her booth with her pattern line.
At the Robert Kaufman party.  They had the tables adorned with Kona Cotton Solids and the color cards all cut up as confetti.  You can find Kona Solids by clicking here and the color cards by clicking here.
At breakfast I was feeling slightly vertically challenged next to my good friend Victoria.
Ahhhh.... at the Island Batik booth I took a photo of Paradise in Blooms.  This is the newest Technique of the Month and guess what?? We will be kitting it in this color way!!!!!
Also in the Island Batik booth was the Fire Island Hosta in this beautiful color way.  And guess what?  We will be kitting it in this color way!!!
The last photo that I have for you is the red and white exhibit at the show part of market.  This was inspired by the Infinite Variety Red and White Show that was in NYC.  Just gorgeous!!!
If you would like to see all the pics from market, just click here
Until Next Time...
