Hello Everyone,

Yesterday was the last day of teaching at a Quiltworx retreat.  I had a great time with these ladies and they were extremely productive!  Although everyone was making something different it was so nice to watch them grow and evolve each day.  One of our favorite things to do beside eat and sew is to hang quilts over the balcony on a nice day and take photos.  I have a few to share as well as the progress on the walls.

Judy finished her Fire Island Hosta with the borders.  She even matched her clothing to the quilt top today.  Then we took it outside for a little photo shoot.

It looks fantastic over the balcony.  But then later on she told me she was going to take the border off and actually make it larger.  Instead of the 4 inch outer border she is going to make it 8 inches.

Karin finished a wedge of her feathered star.  She now has officially joined the wedgie club!  Only 7 more to go!!

This wall has on it, from left to right, a Summer Solstice, Queen Sized Feathered Star, and a new quilt in progress an Amazon Star.  This Amazon Star is a Christmas version.

The Glacier Star is coming along really nicely, but I could kick myself.... Pirjo began putting up her feathers around the lone star units and I thought I took a photo, but didn't.  So there is more to it than you see in this photo.  The double wedding ring is progressing along too.  I love the colors!!

Here is a close up of the Christmas Amazon Star.  Aren't the fabrics gorgeous?

Anne's Mariner's Compass is looking great too!  I love her red ropes.

Kim's Mariner's Compass is spectacular!  She chose to make blue ropes and they are just right.

Susan almost has a wedge done on her queen size Feathered Star.  Loving how it is turning out.

Pirjo is celebrating a birthday today, so yesterday we sang to her and she was presented with some Huckleberry bread!

Crystal finished her Japanese Fan and later added some piping to the edge.  Off to Charity this one goes.  Lovely!!

Last but not least, I had posted this photo of Jennifer's Osprey's Nest and this received so many compliments, so I wanted to share a much better photo with you.  Isn't it gorgeous??

I had a great time here in Montana and I am getting ready to head home..... I will be teaching at Vermont Quilt Festival next week.  If you are attending, pop in and say hello!

If you would like any of the patterns that you have seen above, you can purchase them online in our shop by clicking here.
