Hello Everyone,

Some of you who have been reading my blog for a while may remember that in August of 2008, my mother, my daughter, and I took a vacation of a lifetime to Peru. You can read about it in my blog posts here. Make sure you come back quick though. Do you see what I mean by the color?

Anyway, when I started to make that striped quilt from Kaffe Fassett's book, I kept thinking that all the color reminded me of Peru. So I have decided to name the quilt, "The Colors of Peru". The quilt isn't even done yet! But I have made progress. Lots of progress. I finished everyone of the blocks.

Here is the beautiful, colorful stack of small squares.

The larger squares.

Here are all three sizes. I just love the fact that they will all work in harmony with one another.

Also, that having three sizes really adds more interest to the quilt. Now just to get them up onto the design wall! You can go back to this post and see how I tried a layout with the first few blocks. Now it will grow!

Just to let you in on a little secret, there will be a special happening for me and at my online fabric shop coming up really soon. So if you want to be one of the first ones to find out, go over to my sidebar and sign up where it says Special Discounts and Happenings at Our Online Fabric Store and then pop on over here to sign up for my monthly newsletter.

Until Next Time...
